This is not just another new year; it is the beginning of a new era. Every ten years something remarkable happens in the affairs of men. We have just entered into a new era, and the quality of our lives in the next ten years shall be based on the quality of decision we make. This is why I have come up with this article, ‘The Power of Decision’ so that you will not live your life in the hands of somebody else, but be directly responsible for its outcome.
Every day we make decision; some times good, other time’s bad decision. Decision is the choice we make. Whether we like it or not, life cannot be lived with out making choices. Each choice we make leads us to a life of happiness or a life of frustration and sorrow. Knowing how to make quality decision is fundamental if we must fulfill destiny.
The Power of Decision cannot be overemphasized, if your life will ever move forward you must realize that your resolution to succeed is more important than your complacency and inactivity. Where and what you are today is as a result of the decision you took yesterday, and where and what you be will become tomorrow is inevitably tied to the decision you make today. If you decide to be great you will definitely be great, but if on the contrary you decide to be small, you will surely have the outcome of your choice. Great men are great because they decide to be great. Their decision propelled them for action, and their action brought them unequalled success. Through the power of decision they were able to remove themselves from the rat race, and the common place of mediocrity and inactivity. Whishes will never make you great, but quality decision that is backed up with intelligent action will enable you to enthrone and ordain your destiny.
Do you have a desire to positively impact your world and enjoy undulating communion with God? Do you have the desire to become more resourceful and committed to the things of God, your business, your family and to your career? Then decide to do just that, and you will succeed. Back up that decision with intelligent action wrapped up in the spirit faith and determination, and you will receive physical and divine aid for fulfillment. No power on earth or in Hades can stop a man who has resolved with action to ordain his destiny. Divinity seeks and backs such people for successful accomplishment.
Realize that choices you make about where to go, whom to emulate and follow, the type of info you expose yourself to and activities you engage in, either empower or rob you of the power of successful accomplishment and resourceful living. In the light of the aforementioned, I will encourage you to take your decision making exercise seriously. In addition to other quality decisions you will take this year consider the following: They will help you greatly. Decide to:
• Serve God faithfully with everything you are and have.
• Look for and do anything of good report that improves your life a bit.
• Go to places where your potentials will be celebrated, effectively utilized and enhanced.
• Associate with People who are higher than you in some way and are willing to commit to bringing out the good and desirable in you.
• Pursue your career with inner tenacity, intelligence and courage.
• Never to take paths that is unstable.
• Seek wisdom and make it your daily companion.
• Refuse to settle for less where you are entitled for more.
• Do your business with a touch of creativity.
• Set reasonable targets and reward your self and your team for success.
• Strive for excellence in everything you do.
• Make promises you are capable of fulfilling.
• Major in Majors, and not in minors.
• Make education a priority
• Take care of your family
• Make the bible your daily guide
Friend, the choices you make has the power to make and or mar you. Therefore, make the right choice. Even if your life has experienced no meaningful progress since you were born, you can decide to make a difference, and you will see meaningful progress. Never be contented to settle for a life of squalid while enviously watching others succeed. Decide to make your life count, and you will be glad you did. Your future may look oblique and chances of success may seem slim, but resolve to take a chance and make your life count. You cannot know what you can become unless you decide to try the unknown. Your sitting down and whining does not help issues. Do not waste your life away because you are afraid you will fail if you tried. Stand up and look at what makes you afraid and resolve to conquer it and you will.
You may say precious, ‘you do not understand what I am going through, my case is spiritual; it is hopeless’. Hear me! Your resolution to success is more important than the powers that are pulling you down. If you decide to make a difference and prayerfully strive for excellence, they will leave you in the process of time. To overcome what is unseen concentrate on what is seen. I have seen men and women with real hopeless situations who did not allow their hopeless situation to deprive them from making an impact and live a fulfilled life. If they can do it you too can do it. The bible says all things are possible with God and with all who believe. Whosoever shall say to any mountain in his life, ‘move and be planted in the wildernesses and shall not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says shall come to pass, such will have whatever he says.
In conclusion, I want you to begin to call into existence whatever you want to happen in your life. Declare the lifestyle you want to experience this year, and reject the ones you do not want. As you declare and decide to do your best to better your life, you will see beautiful changes in your life. You are made to be celebrated, do not condemn your self to inactivity. I give you a guarantee that if you heed the counsel in this article, the God of all creation will give you grace for a fruitful living. I may not know who you are, but one thing I know is that God loves you and delight in your total wellbeing. And if you will pick up your broken life and trust him, he will mend it and make your life beautiful. Decide today to make your life count and heaven and good men will discover and make your life great.
